About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and driven Merchandiser / Logistics / Supply Chain Intern to join our team at Sembonia, one of the top rapidly growing brands of leather-wear with all extensive range of products that includes shoes, bags and other leather accessories. This full-time internship, based in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, offers hands-on exposure to various aspects of logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily logistic operations, including inbound, outbound, and return processes.
- Support inventory control activities such as stock counts and reconciliation.
- Help ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders and deliveries.
- Contribute to delivery process analysis and tracking: -
- Monitor delivery status and identify discrepancies between planned and actual execution.
- Assist in the execution of Delivery Orders (DO).
- Track Proof of Delivery (POD) and return collection activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency.
- Provide administrative and operational support as required.
- Assist merchandisers in sourcing and buying of new related products to maximize sales and maintain optimal inventory.
- Assist merchandisers in liaising with suppliers on promotional activities and prompt delivery of stocks.
- Actively assist merchandisers in communicating with Sales & Operations Department for promotional activities.
- Assist in the setting up of new stores and major fairs/ events.
Job Requirements: -
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business or a related field
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Ms. Word or inventory systems is a plus
- Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work in Cheras.
