Collabera is expanding the team and welcomes a driven Lead Data Engineer to shape our cloud and data strategy, based in KL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support to the IT or AMS team during and after cloud migrations.
  • Collaborate with the customer team to troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Handle simple deployments of cloud resources according to company procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving cloud security based on company policies.
  • Offer advice on how to reduce and manage cloud costs.
  • Help set up tools to monitor and report cloud spending. Support right-sizing and optimizing cloud resources when needed.
  • Share best practices for cloud management, scaling, optimization, and workload migration.
  • Conduct basic knowledge-sharing sessions or workshops.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • Hands-on with AWS services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions, etc.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and automation
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and modern data architecture
  • Experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams
  • Experience with Power BI, Snowflake on AWS, or Databricks is a plus
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and AWS data governance/security frameworks
