Company Background:

Our client company, with its headquarters in Japan, is set to establish a new manufacturing facility at Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. This plant will focus on electromechanical assembly and advanced material fabrication for semiconductor equipment, designed to meet customer needs while also expanding the company's global business.

Job Description:

Production Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and capacity.
  • Adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand, raw material availability, and other variables.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and components are available to meet production requirements.
  • Work closely with procurement.
  • Identify and mitigate any inventory shortages or overstock issues.

Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with production teams, purchasing, and logistics, ensure a smooth flow of materials and products.
  • Communicate with the sales team to address any changes in demand or customer requirements.

Forecasting and Demand Planning:

  • Analyze historical production data and customer demand to forecast future production needs.
  • Review sales and customer orders to adjust production plans accordingly.

Production Monitoring:

  • Track production progress and resolve any issues that may arise, such as delays or equipment breakdowns.
  • Ensure that production activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor best practices to optimize production planning and execution.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 1 years and above of experience in production planning or supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams in English and Mandarin.
  • Problem-solving skills to address production challenges.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
