Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Planner to support quarterly, monthly, and daily planning processes. The role ensures efficient material availability, production scheduling, and on-time delivery to meet customer requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and generate production orders for assemblies and sub-assemblies based on build requirements.
  • Analyze build plan versus current capacity and escalate constraints where necessary.
  • Support demand forecasting and ensure demand plans are accurately loaded into the planning system (e.g., Rapid Response).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Production, and QA) to align production plans with business goals.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the regional (Mexicali) team to align capacity planning with demand requirements.
  • Support new product launches with production planning and minimize phase-out material wastage.
  • Coordinate engineering change orders, purchasing, production, and shipping to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Identify and analyze forecast trends, gaps, and issues; recommend improvements for the S&OP process.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and other supply chain–related activities as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Supply Chain Planning or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, and Distribution processes.
  • Proficient in demand forecasting principles and supply chain management concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with planning or ERP systems.
  • Strong project management and negotiation skills.
  • Able to analyze both micro and macro factors affecting demand and supply.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in continuous improvement environments.
  • Background in warehouse or inventory control within a manufacturing setting.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Operations, Business, or Marketing.
