We are seeking an experienced
Senior Full Stack Engineer
who thrives on building scalable, high-performance applications that handle real-world complexity at scale. This role blends hands-on development with technical leadership — you will architect robust solutions, mentor team members, drive feature development, and collaborate strategically on key technical decisions.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Development

• Design and implement scalable solutions that perform efficiently with large datasets, demonstrating a deep understanding of the difference between systems handling 10,000 records and those operating with 100 million in production.
• Drive the technical progression of feature pipelines from initial concept through to production deployment.
• Lead the technical implementation of key features, working closely with team members to raise code quality and uphold high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with the CTO and Tech Lead on architectural decisions and overall system design.
• Contribute to brainstorming and planning sessions, transforming high-level ideas into robust, production-ready technical solutions.

Full Stack Engineering

• Write high quality production-ready code across our PHP, Python, and technology stacks that scales gracefully and reliably.
• Build and maintain APIs, web applications, and automation scripts with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Optimise database queries and implement efficient data access patterns, including proper pagination, indexing, and query optimisation.
• Design and implement AWS infrastructure solutions for compute, storage, and database services, ensuring scalability and resilience.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party services and internal systems to enable seamless data flow and automation.

Code Quality & Mentorship

• Conduct thorough code reviews with a focus on performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and structured knowledge sharing.
• Lead by example in feature development, demonstrating best practices and a high standard of engineering excellence.
• Actively raise the technical bar by guiding team members towards stronger coding standards and cleaner architectures.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence across the engineering team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, technical constraints, and success metrics.
• Communicate effectively across teams, departments, and external partners to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Contribute to technical roadmap planning and participate in key technology and architectural decisions.
• Propose innovative, data-driven solutions to complex business and engineering challenges.

Minimum Requirements:

• Technical Expertise (5+ years of full-stack development experience)
• Strong proficiency in PHP (Laravel ecosystem), Python (FastAPI/AIML), and
• Deep understanding of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented programming (OOP) and established engineering best practices.
• Advanced database expertise in both SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) systems.
• Proven experience with AWS infrastructure, including compute, storage, and database services.
• Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
• Proficiency with Git version control in collaborative, multi-developer environments.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise performance for high-traffic, data-intensive applications.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Proven experience in mentoring developers and conducting constructive, high-quality code reviews.
• Demonstrated ability to lead feature development and drive technical progress from concept to production.
• Established track record of elevating team capability through collaborative coding, knowledge sharing, and hands-on leadership.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex or ambiguous technical requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in professional English for technical discussions, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience working within agile development environments and contributing to iterative product delivery.

• Proven collaboration with Data Science or AI teams, bridging the gap between research and scalable engineering implementation.
• Strong background in designing and managing large-scale, high-performance services and infrastructure.
• Practical DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and infrastructure as code practices.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and modern cloud-native development patterns.
• Experience working in high-growth environments or on enterprise-scale applications.
