Position Overview

The Project Technician is responsible for supporting project activities including installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment or systems at project sites. This role ensures that all technical tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards. The Project Technician works closely with engineers, chargeman, and other team members to deliver successful project outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

1. Validation of Contractor Work

Inspect and verify all electrical terminations, tagging, labeling, and test results. Ensure compliance with ST standards and supplier requirements.

2. Charger Configuration Mastery

Understand charger models, backend protocols (OCPP, etc.), and configuration steps. Be able to set parameters such as max current, charger settings, and network connectivity.

3. Joint Testing & Commissioning

Collaborate with QAQC and supplier to conduct functional tests, insulation resistance, earth fault checks, and load simulations. Document results and sign off jointly.

4.Site Readiness Checks

Confirm availability of power supply, earthing, surge protection, and proper cable sizing. Flag any deviations from SLD or manuals.

5.Documentation & Reporting

Maintain commissioning checklists, defect logs, and daily progress reports. Submit to project manager and client as required.

6.Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

Respond to complaints, perform root cause analysis (e.g., communication failure, tripping, CMS issues), and escalate to suppliers if needed.

Pay: RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
