We are looking for a Performing Arts Teacher who will join the Secondary International Section to help us guide the school and work with our colleagues to take us to the next level. If you want to be part of our team you will need to be passionate about learning and knowledgeable about the factors that affect learning.

About us:

We are a unique campus, home to Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary, and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE, IGCSE, and A Level) and a Malaysian Private School, Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum). The campus welcomes almost 2000 amazing students, aged from 3 to 18 years, and from 38 nationalities. The international school has 1200 students. We celebrate being Asian and combine this with international thinking to create a diverse and exciting campus.

The Role

We are looking for someone who:

• Puts children at the heart of everything they do and cares about their wellbeing.
• Enjoys being a team player willing to work with, learn from and help develop others.
• Is an inspiring Performing Arts teacher with a proven track record in supporting the development of Music and Drama students.
• Is an outstanding teaching practitioner with minimum degree in Performing Arts, Music Education, or a related field and possess a teaching qualification (PGCE, Diploma in Education, or equivalent).
• Has experience or the ability to teach Music to at least GCSE level. Drama teaching experience to GCSE level is desirable but not essential.
• Has a passion for, and experience in supporting whole school Performing Arts productions, and is driven to continuously raise the profile of the Performing Arts.
• Is someone who recognises and rewards excellent learning.
• Is a strong communicator, who is personable, caring and passionate with high expectations of themselves and others. You want to get better
• Is committed to their own continued professional development and excited about professional learning conversations with like minded colleagues.
• Is committed to safeguarding and sees the pastoral responsibilities of a teacher as central to everyone's role.

Interviews

Initial interviews will be completed through Microsoft Teams. Final interviews may be carried out face-to-face whenever possible.
