ROLE PURPOSE

  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the existing Registry system, along with other ROC-supplementary digital platforms. The role also entails managing the Oracle database backend, conducting data analytics for management reporting, and assisting with ad hoc system and data-related tasks within the ROC Unit.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. System Development and Maintenance

  2. Oversee the technical maintenance, updates, and enhancement of existing Registry system to ensure smooth operations.

  3. Collaborate with vendors, internal IT, and business users to troubleshoot issues, deploy patches, and implement improvements.
  4. Provide technical support for other supplementary systems within the ROC unit.

  5. Conduct regular system health checks, performance tuning, and security reviews.

  6. Database Administration

  7. Ensure database integrity, security, and compliance with internal data management standards.

  8. Perform database queries, scripting, and optimization to support operational needs.

  9. Data Analytics and Reporting

  10. Extract, analyze, and visualize data from internal databases using BI tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI.

  11. Generate periodic and ad hoc management reports and dashboards to support decision-making.

  12. Ad Hoc and Operational Support

  13. Support the ROC unit in system-related tasks, audits, and compliance reviews.

  14. Assist in testing, documentation, and training for new system features or updates.
  15. Participate in cross-functional digital initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in with Oracle databases and database queries.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Qlik Sense and Power BI.
  • Technical proficiency in database and system management, maintenance, performance tuning, and security reviews.
  • Ability to collaborate with vendors, internal IT teams, and business users for troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Experience in data analytics, report generation, and dashboards.
  • Able to relocate to Labuan.
