Corporate Trainee

The incumbent will be responsible for the following Services within the team:

• Handles loan administration tasks for Commerzbank Singapore, Tokyo, China and Frankfurt. i.e., the control and operational aspects, of approved credit transactions.
• Checks completeness of facility documentation in consultation with the Relationship Managers and Credit
• Officers ensures accurate input and maintenance of credit limits, collateral data and loan transactions in the relevant Bank's systems.
• Maintains proper co-ordination with other departments, branches, and Head Office with regards to regular and ad hoc reports for Credit, Branch Management, Head Office and MAS.
• Ensures proper implementation and compliance with requirements/procedures/system and controls put in place internally (by the Bank/Head Office) and externally (by Auditors/MAS).
• Loan agency and administration scope:(i) manages credit portfolios of Singapore, Tokyo, and Frankfurt Branch and (ii) supports other Asian branches, whether in whole or partially, as assigned by the Regional Head of GS-BM Operations Asia.
• Provides relief coverage for fellow team member(s)

• Analyze and respond to queries from internal and external clients with minimal supervision.
• Achieves the processing turnaround standards as stipulated in the Service Level Agreement between the processing unit and clients.
• Meeting and/or exceeding the expectations in handling complex cases in terms of high- level competency in processing efficiency and accuracy of output.
• Support the implementations and initiatives carried out by the Management and Company/Group.
• Proactively contributes new ideas and concepts to improve operation process.
• Ensuring teamwork within the unit/department and organization are closely fostered.
• The ability to multi-task within the product handling and proactively provide support to the team.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Understanding of the technicalities of bilateral, syndicated and agency Loan Agreements according to prevailing market standards.

Limit Control:

• Maintains the set-up (input/amendment/cancellation etc.) of credit facility limits in relevant Bank's systems.

Collateral Monitoring:

• Ensures proper and complete credit facility/security documentation in accordance with the relevant facility/security agreements.
• Inputs, maintains, and authorizes collateral data in relevant Bank's systems, and monitors expiring collaterals and traces for renewals.

Loan Agency / Administration & operations:

• Liaise with bilateral &syndicated loan customers, facility agent banks, lenders, borrowers and relevant departments (for loan drawdowns, rollovers, prepayments and repayments).
• Processing (input/authorizes) of loan transactions and fees settlements in the relevant Bank's systems.
• Ensures proper recordings and maintenance of loan administration files.

Reporting:

• Co-ordinates with other departments, branches, and Head Office on reporting requirements.
• Prepares reports for use by Credit department, Branch Management, Head Office, and MAS.

Other Administrative Tasks related to Team:

• Supports other initiatives/adhoc tasks as assigned.
• Supports resolution of operational issues, and implementation of continuous work process improvements.

Holiday coverage

• Supports Commerzbank Singapore, Tokyo, China and Frankfurt activities during respective branch's holidays.

Additional task assigned by Group Head and subject to job rotation.

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree or Commercial School Graduate preferred.

• Preferably Entry Level specialized in investment banking, commercial banking or broker
• No work experience required.
• Minimum CGPA is 3.0 pointer
• Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communicative skills.
• Required language(s): High proficiency in reading, speaking, writing in both English and Mandarin.
• Required Skill(s): MS Office and etc.
• NOTE: Successful candidates will be employed on a 12-months contract directly under Commerz Global Service Solutions Sdn Bhd. Upon completion of the Corporate Trainee Program, permanent employment may be offered based on the overall performance evaluation throughout the 12-months program.
