Job description:

WE ARE HIRING: Account Executive | Mandarin Speaking

Location: Yum Yum BBQ Kepong

Monthly salary: RM4,500-5,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience and skills)

What You'll Do:

  1. Core Accounting Duties

  2. Handle full set of accounts (GL, AR, AP, P&L, Balance Sheet).

  3. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports.
  4. Perform bank reconciliations and daily cash flow monitoring.
  5. Ensure timely submission of statutory requirements (tax, SST, audit schedules).

  6. Revenue & Sales Reconciliation

  7. Verify daily sales reports from POS systems (cash, credit card, e-wallet, delivery apps such as GrabFood, Foodpanda).

  8. Reconcile sales vs bank deposits to ensure accuracy.
  9. Track and resolve discrepancies between system reports, cashier summaries, and actual deposits.

  10. Inventory & Cost Control

  11. Monitor food & beverage inventory (raw materials, supplies, wastage).

  12. Work closely with kitchen/store team for stock count and variance reporting.
  13. Calculate and monitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and gross margins.
  14. Support menu pricing analysis to maintain profitability.

  15. Payables & Procurement

  16. Process supplier invoices for ingredients, beverages, packaging, utilities.

  17. Monitor supplier credit terms, prepare payment schedules, and issue payments.
  18. Reconcile supplier statements with internal records.

  19. Payroll & Staff Claims

  20. Prepare staff salaries, OT, allowances, incentives, and service charges distribution.

  21. Ensure statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB in Malaysia / local equivalents).
  22. Verify staff expense claims related to operations.

  23. Management & Operational Support

  24. Support budgeting and forecasting (e.g., monthly sales targets, cost ratios).

  25. Provide financial insights for promotions, seasonal menus, and events.
  26. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
  27. Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and cash leakage.

Requirements:

  • Languages: Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking customers (Required)
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality industry is highly preferred (daily sales reconciliation, POS, inventory, COGS).
  • Strong accounting foundation with experience in invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and basic financial reporting
  • Familiarity with HR processes and payroll handling (added advantage)
  • Strong multitasking and coordination abilities
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
  • Previous experience in accounting or administrative roles (F&B industry experience is a plus)

  • Monday-Friday
  • 12PM-8PM(2H Break)
  • Weekend Hybrid
