Job Title: Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and interactive dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Transform raw datasets into reliable, insightful visualizations aligned with business KPIs.
  • Build and optimize data models, datasets, and dataflows.

Scripting & Data Automation

  • Use Python or Perl to perform data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to convert approved mockups into polished dashboards.
  • Collaborate with data modelers to validate data models, ensure accuracy, and align with reporting needs.

Troubleshooting & UAT Support

  • Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, quality issues, and transformation errors.
  • Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), track issues, and deliver timely fixes.

Deployment & Documentation

  • Publish reports to UAT and Production, ensuring smooth migration and release readiness.
  • Document dashboard logic, data flows, KPIs, and the overall analytical journey for future maintenance.

Requirements

  • Up to 5 years of experience in Power BI development, BI reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Strong Python or Perl scripting skills for automation and data processing.
  • Experience collaborating with data modelers for model validation.
  • Solid understanding of KPIs, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Strong experience with Power BI DAX.
  • Familiarity with UAT processes and defect resolution.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6, RM8,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Power BI development, BI reporting, and dashboard creation: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Python or Perl scripting skills: 2 years (Preferred)
  • data modelers for model validation: 2 years (Preferred)
  • KPIs, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concept: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Power BI DAX: 2 years (Preferred)
  • UAT processes and defect resolution.: 2 years (Preferred)
