Job purpose:

• The Windows Infrastructure Engineer will be integral to the Windows Server team, focusing on deploying, automating, and maintaining secure and efficient Windows Server environments.
• This resource will utilize Ansible for system automation, write playbooks, and create Windows OS builds, ensuring adherence to security policies and compliance standards.
• The engineer will also analyze system performance and crashes, contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Windows infrastructure.

Key activities:

• Develop and implement Windows OS build creation procedures using tools such as Autounattend, Packer, Ansible, and Sysprep.
• Write and maintain Ansible playbooks for system automation, ensuring efficiency and consistency in server configuration and management.
• Implement Group Policy design and configuration to enforce security policies and operational standards across the Windows environment.
• Perform security hardening of Windows servers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
• Conduct system and performance analyses to identify issues, resource consumption, and optimization opportunities.
• Manage crash analysis procedures to diagnose and resolve server incidents efficiently.
• Collaborate with the team to design and document automation processes and workflows using Ansible.
• Utilize Bitbucket for version control, ensuring all scripts and configuration files are tracked and managed.
• Work closely with the Windows Administrator team to ensure smooth integration of new systems and ongoing maintenance of existing infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance for team members on Windows infrastructure best practices and automation techniques.

Qualification/Skills:

• Strong understanding of Windows Server infrastructure and architecture.
• Proven experience with Ansible, including writing playbooks and automating Windows OS builds.
• Familiarity with Bitbucket or other version control systems for managing code and configurations.
• Experience with Cloud (Google, Azure)
• Handle and eliminate the deficiencies identified from the health checks performed
• OS Basis Monitoring
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Windows Server management and engineering.
• Experience with security hardening practices and compliance requirements within IT infrastructures.
• Knowledge of crash and performance analysis methodologies for Windows environments.
• Very good application infrastructure experience
• Very good experience in IT security
• Proficient in writing automation scripts and playbooks in Ansible.
• Solid understanding of image creation processes, including Packer and Sysprep.
• Expertise in Group Policy design and implementation.
