Rotating Engineer

About the role

Kinsajasa Sdn Bhd, a leading engineering firm in Miri, Sarawak, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Rotating Engineer to join our dynamic team in Miri/Bintulu. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating machinery and equipment, playing a critical part in the success of our Mechanical Engineering operations.

Job Description:

• Designing, installing, and maintaining rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and other machinery
• Conducting inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of rotating equipment
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with rotating machinery, and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of rotating equipment into overall system designs
• Providing technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnel
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in rotating equipment management
• Documenting and maintaining comprehensive records of all rotating equipment-related activities
• Integrate OSH principles into planning, design, and operational processes.
• Identify and assess OSH hazards and risks in engineering activities.
• Ensure engineering solutions comply with OSH standards and legislation.

About You:

• Must have minimum 7 years' experience in REQ maintenance work in Petrochemical or Oil & Gas industry if which as least 2 years as Supervisor.
• Education: Minimum Degree in Mechanical
• Responsible for Quality and Productivity Improvement and implementation of these improvements.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.
• Fully aware of safety aspects of working in a Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry.
• Must be fully aware of quality systems and can perform regular audits.
• Familiar with different rotating equipment, testing and quality control measures.
• Must be aware of Industry Standards, Government Authority Requirements, DEPs, local legislation and relevant International codes
• Must have proven leadership qualities & be able to organize a large site maintenance team and manage the site organization independently.
• Able to organize the materials and equipment for the job.
• Must be able to plan associated activities, and acquire the resources to mobilize all required personnel and equipment on time.
