The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects in alignment with organizational objectives. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and meet customer and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams, manages risks, and serves as the primary communication link between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Initiation

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Identify required resources (manpower, equipment, budget).
  • Conduct feasibility analysis and risk assessment.
  • Align project goals with company strategy and customer requirements.

2. Project Execution & Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth communication and alignment among stakeholders.
  • Manage project changes, deviations, and engineering updates.
  • Monitor progress and resolve issues that may affect timeline or quality.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal management.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and presentations to customers and management.
  • Manage expectations and ensure timely responses to customer queries.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

4. Budget & Cost Control

  • Track project budgets and ensure cost adherence.
  • Manage project financials including CAPEX, tooling investments, and cost breakdowns.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for optimization.

5. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain complete documentation: project plans, minutes, reports, approvals, and technical files.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO/IATF16949, regulatory requirements, OEM specifications).
  • Prepare project status reports and dashboards.

6. Risk Management

  • Identify project risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor supplier risks, capacity issues, logistics constraints, and technical challenges.
  • Escalate critical issues to management when required.

7. Project Handover & Closure

  • Conduct pilot builds, validation, and pre-SOP readiness reviews.
  • Manage PPAP, testing, and customer approval milestones.
  • Ensure smooth handover to operations, production, and quality teams.
