Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records including attendance, leave, and other compensation-related data.
- Verify payroll reports, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve any issues related to salary or benefits.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory filings (e.g., social security, provident fund, income tax).
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Prepare payroll-related reports and provide insights to management as needed.
- Respond promptly to employee queries regarding payslips, deductions, and other payroll matters.
- Support audits and provide necessary payroll documentation when required.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Candidates must be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin proficiency considered an added advantage for multilingual communication and regional coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Officer, or in a similar payroll/HR role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
