KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A kitchen steward maintains an establishment's kitchen and surrounding areas, keeping them clean and sanitary.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  1. To create and maintaining a cleaning schedule for the kitchen, cleaning the stoves, ovens, pots, pans, grills, and refrigerators, and washing dishes, glasses, and cutlery.
  2. Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.

  3. Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures

  4. Carry out general cleaning as directed to include sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying of rubbish bins and boxes ensuring placement in the correct containers.
  5. Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the chief steward / stewarding manager.
  6. Controls ingoing goods and stores it in perfect conditions.
  7. Guest oriented and able to converse with customers.
  8. Has fun cooking and loves his job Is a sociable chef who likes to work in a small team with different nationalities and respects and actively works with his colleagues.
  9. To assist other outlet kitchen when necessary.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-heat environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for long hours.
  • Good attitude, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
  • Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
