Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Technical Support
  • Assist in preparing engineering drawings, layouts, and technical calculations.
  • Support the design of roads, buildings, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, or other infrastructure.
  • Use engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, or similar tools.
2. Site & Field Work
  • Conduct site inspections to collect data, monitor construction activities, and ensure compliance with plans.
  • Assist in surveying, soil sampling, material testing, and documenting site conditions.
  • Prepare field reports and photographs for senior engineers.
3. Project Coordination
  • Help coordinate with architects, contractors, surveyors, and government agencies.
  • Support the creation of project schedules, cost estimates, and work progress reports.
  • Attend project meetings and take minutes.
4. Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare technical documents, drawings, specifications, and permits under supervision.
  • Ensure designs follow local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
5. Learning & Development
  • Participate in training, mentorship sessions, and technical workshops.
  • Learn industry best practices and accumulate experience required for engineering licensure.
  • Apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering problems.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • Basic understanding of structural, geotechnical, transportation, or water engineering.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work in both office and field environments.
