About the role

Mirecont Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a Civil Engineer - Protege, you will play a pivotal role in the design, planning and implementation of our infrastructure projects. What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting site inspections and surveys to gather data and assess project requirements
  2. Designing civil engineering structures such as buildings, roads, bridges and water treatment facilities
  3. Preparing detailed engineering drawings, plans and specifications
  4. Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
  5. Monitoring construction progress and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  6. Providing technical support and advice throughout the project lifecycle
  7. Collaborating with the wider engineering team to identify innovative solutions

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  2. 1-2 years of relevant experience in the civil/structural engineering industry
  3. Proficient in the use of engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Primavera
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  7. Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards
