Overview

A C I D is a boutique consultancy firm that thrives on concept driven designs, satisfying the criteria for functional, social and environmental needs. ACID is currently pursuing various commercial and hospitality projects throughout Asia.

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Project Designer to join our Interior Design team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing on-site coordination across various project types: including hospitality, large-scale residential developments, commercial spaces, sales galleries and show units. This role requires a hands-on designer who is able to support both the creative and technical aspects of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing design concepts, presentation materials and project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout all stages of the project.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and on-site design coordination to ensure works align with design intent and standards.
  • Prepare, review, and update drawings using AutoCAD; including detailed drawings when required.
  • Maintain and update all design related documentation and communications.
  • Support materials sourcing, sample coordination and specification documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external design discussions and contribute creative input to improve overall project quality.
  • Ensure design deliverables meet project timelines and quality expectations.
  • Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and client presentations as needed.
  • Establishing an approximate project completion timeline.
  • Provide support during the project completion and handover phases, including after-hours or weekend work as required.
  • Travel to project sites outside Kuala Lumpur based on project demands.

Requirements

  • MALAYSIAN CITIZEN ONLY
  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior design project coordination and site involvement.
  • Proven experience handling multiple project types:

Commercial Building & Corporate Offices

Hospitality

Sales Galleries & Show Units

Residential (main development)

  • Proficient in AutoCAD (compulsory).
  • Knowledge of Sketchup, Revit and/or Photoshop is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of construction details, materials, and ID documentation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Responsible, hardworking, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Willing to travel and work outside of Kuala Lumpur when required.
  • Willing to work after hours or on weekends, especially during project completion or handover stages.

Remuneration:

The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Salary to commensurate with experience.
