The Waste Management Association of Malaysia (WMAM) represents professionals from diverse disciplines including environment, engineering, and law, as well as management and service providers. WMAM aims to promote high standards of waste management services in Malaysia and encourages collaboration among all stakeholders. As a non-profit and educational organization, WMAM offers a platform for stakeholders to share their expertise and views on waste management. Founded in March 2005, WMAM organizes events such as meetings, workshops, and seminars to facilitate the exchange of practical information and ideas on waste management. WMAM has been affiliated with the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) as a National Member since 2007.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Executive, located in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Junior Executive will assist in organizing events, meetings, workshops, and seminars related to waste management. The role involves administrative tasks, liaising with stakeholders, preparing reports, and ensuring effective communication within the organization. The Junior Executive may also assist with research and development activities to support WMAM's goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Administrative tasks, report preparation, and effective communication skills
  • Experience in organizing events, meetings, workshops, and seminars
  • Research and development skills specific to the waste management industry
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Experience in the waste management industry is a plus
