About the Role

The Retail Planner plays a key role in driving sales performance through effective inventory management, promotions, and markdown planning. You'll turn data into insights — identifying what to push, when to promote, and how to maximize sell-through while protecting margins.

This role suits someone with strong analytical skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to balance numbers with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales trends, stock levels, and product performance to identify opportunities for promotions and markdowns.
  • Develop retail plans that balance sales growth, inventory health, and margin objectives.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Buying teams to build effective product assortments and inventory allocations.
  • Plan and execute promotional and seasonal markdown strategies to optimize sell-through.
  • Track KPIs such as sell-through rate, inventory turnover, and stock availability.
  • Prepare and present regular business reports and recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align plans with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain objectives.
  • Maintain data integrity across systems and ensure timely updates on planning tools.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 2–4 years' experience in retail planning, inventory management, or merchandise planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience in ERP or planning tools (e.g., SAP, Tableau) is an advantage.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
