Operator

Operator is responsible for carrying out daily production activities such as assembly, machine operation, inspection, and documentation in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and quality standards. This role ensures smooth production flow, supports continuous improvement, and maintains high-quality output in a fast-paced EMS manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operation

  • Operate production equipment such as SMT, AOI, assembly stations, soldering tools, or final assembly machines.
  • Perform manual assembly and handling of electronic components and PCBs.
  • Follow Work Instructions (WI), SOP, and process flow strictly.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

  • Conduct visual and functional inspection of PCBs and finished goods.
  • Identify and report defects such as missing components, polarity issues, soldering defects, contamination, etc.
  • Ensure products meet IPC and company quality standards.
  • Maintain proper segregation of OK/NG/rework units.

3. Machine Support & Basic Maintenance

  • Assist in machine setup, line changeover, and material preparation.
  • Carry out simple preventive maintenance such as cleaning tools, jigs, and nozzles.
  • Report equipment issues, process deviations, or abnormal conditions to the technician/engineer immediately.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Record daily output, rejects, downtime, and material usage accurately.
  • Update production data in the system (barcode scanning, traceability system, or manual logsheet).
  • Ensure all labels, documentation, and records comply with traceability requirements.

5. Housekeeping, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow ESD, 5S, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
  • Wear required PPE and comply with cleanroom rules (if applicable).

6. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with leaders, technicians, and engineers to support line operations.
  • Highlight issues proactively and propose improvement ideas.
  • Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • At least high school education level
  • Acceptance to work in international team
  • Experience working in Manufacturing environment is highly desirable
  • Experience in working assembly process
  • Able to work rotate shift
