BO Chargeman

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage electrical installation, upgrading, and replacement works at project sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
2. Execute all responsibilities of a BO Chargeman in strict accordance with the Electricity Supply Act, Electrical Regulations, and guidelines issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
3. Supervise project execution activities including testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical systems (LV / HV) to ensure safe and reliable operation.
4. Liaise and coordinate with TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission), consultants, and relevant authorities for inspections, approvals, and compliance documentation.
5. Lead, train, and monitor a team of technicians, electricians, and subcontractors to carry out installation, replacement, and maintenance works efficiently and safely.
6. Plan and schedule electrical project activities, monitor site progress, and ensure timely completion within project deadlines and budget.
7. Review and verify electrical drawings, schematics, load schedules, and equipment specifications to ensure alignment with project and client requirements.
8. Prepare and implement shutdown procedures, switching schedules, risk assessments, safe work permits, and method statements for all electrical installation works.
9. Conduct site inspections, testing & commissioning, and ensure all work conforms to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
10. Maintain comprehensive project documentation including test reports, as-built drawings, load records, equipment certifications, and statutory submissions.
11. Participate in project coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and clients to provide technical input, resolve site issues, and ensure smooth project execution.
12. Perform other project-related duties as assigned by management or the company

Requirements:

• Registered and Licensed Competent BO 11kV/33kV Chargeman with Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) Malaysia.
• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years' hands-on experience as HT Chargeman in Engineering/ Construction industry
• Hands-on working experience in engineering/ construction industry (electrical installations, i.e. switchgears, switchboards, transformers, cables and others ancillaries).
• Good interpersonal & coordination skills.
• Flexible and proactive to matter arising and attentive to details
• Proficient in MS Office Application
