Our client "Wan Husin & Associates Sdn Bhd" is seeking a Civil Drafter to join their team

Join an established engineering consultancy and develop your drafting expertise while working on diverse civil and infrastructure projects This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled drafter to work independently on technical drawings from schematic design through construction documentation. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers while utilizing cutting-edge software and contributing to high-quality project deliverables in a supportive professional environment.

What you'll be doing?
  • Data Coordination: Skillfully incorporate project information into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings for various civil engineering projects.
  • Design Assembly: Obtain and assemble essential data to complete civil designs, ensuring all technical specifications are accurately reflected in final drawings.
  • Procedure Development: Determine appropriate procedures and instructions to optimize project outcomes according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Presentation Preparation: Create professional coloured civil drawings for authority submissions and client presentations, ensuring visual clarity and regulatory compliance.
  • Technical Drawing Production: Operate CAD equipment and conventional drafting stations to produce high-quality designs, working drawings, charts, and records.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Consult and assist Engineers in carrying out production drawings, ensuring technical accuracy and design integrity throughout the process.
  • Independent Design Detailing: Handle the full range of design detailing and drawing production independently, demonstrating technical competency and professional responsibility.
  • Comprehensive Documentation: Prepare technical work drawings, tender documentation, construction drawings, and detailed drawings for complete project documentation.
  • Soil Analysis Integration: Extract and incorporate soil profile information from Site Investigation Reports into technical drawings for geotechnical design accuracy.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: A Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification that provides fundamental technical knowledge for civil drafting work.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 3 years of experience in Civil and Infrastructure projects with consultant engineering firms. Candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
  • Drawing Skills: Knowledge and ability to produce schematic drawings across various types and complexity levels.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in AutoCAD software, with additional knowledge in BIM Modelling and Civil 3D being highly advantageous.
  • Technical Analysis: Ability to extract and interpret soil profile information from Site Investigation Reports.
  • Professional Attributes: Demonstrated ability to work independently with a pleasant personality, self-discipline, and strong self-motivation.
  • Pressure Management: Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English for effective communication with engineers, clients, and regulatory authorities.
