Job Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain a full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements such as Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate, updated, and compliant with Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).
- Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
2. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor daily cash flow and update cash flow forecast.
- Handle payments, receipts, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management.
- Ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
3. Billing, Invoicing & Collections
- Prepare and issue customer invoices on time.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up on collections.
- Process supplier invoices and verify supporting documents before payment.
4. Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and tax filings such as SST, PCB, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and corporate tax schedules.
- Liaise with tax agents and ensure compliance with LHDN and customs regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and tax purposes.
5. Audit & Internal Control
- Work with external auditors during annual financial audits.
- Ensure proper internal controls and accounting procedures are implemented.
- Conduct internal checks to identify discrepancies and recommend improvements.
6. Administrative & Support Duties
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Support management with ad-hoc financial tasks, reports, and project work.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues.
Job Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications like ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MICPA are an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in handling full set of accounts is preferred.
- Fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions.
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS) and tax regulations.
Proficient in accounting software such as:
AutoCount
- ERP
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, formulas).
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Good time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, yet collaborate well in a team.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
