Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the dynamic team at DSCO Group Sdn Bhd. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and delivery of complex electrical systems and solutions for our wide range of clients. This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Kuala Lumpur office.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform engineering duties such as planning, engineering design, heatload calculations, tender preparation/evaluation, QA and testing & commissioning to support the M&E Project Director/Manager.
  2. Liaise with clients, project managers, contractors, lead projects and produce designs and tender documents.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines
  4. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments and provide technical recommendations to clients
  5. Develop and optimise electrical schematics, drawings and specifications
  6. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve technical issues
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical regulations, codes and standards
  8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the mechanical engineering industry
  3. Proven track record of leading the design and implementation of complex electrical systems
  4. Expert knowledge of electrical design principles, regulations and industry standards
  5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  7. Adaptable to changes and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
