Our client ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Specification to join their team

What you'll be doing?

• Influence Product Selection: Develop and maintain relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and other specifiers to influence product selection and specification for door opening solutions.
• Provide Technical Expertise: Offer technical support during the design phase of projects, including reviewing plans, identifying appropriate products, and offering solutions that meet performance, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with internal sales teams to identify project opportunities, develop specifications, and track project leads through to completion.
• Educate and Train: Conduct presentations, training sessions, and product demonstrations to educate specifiers and end-users on the features, benefits, and applications of our door opening solutions.
• Stay Informed: Keep current with industry trends, codes, standards, and regulations related to door hardware, security, accessibility, and building design.
• Serve as a Liaison: Act as a liaison between customers, internal departments, and external partners to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Prepare and maintain accurate records of project specifications, product selections, and customer interactions using CRM software or other tracking tools.
• Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support and expertise to customers and internal teams regarding product specifications, applications, and installation methods.
• Stay Updated: Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to building materials and construction methods.

Who are they looking for?

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials or project management, demonstrating strong knowledge of building materials, construction processes, and industry standards.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and project delivery processes.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and clients.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Additional Languages: Proficient in Mandarin language is a plus for broader client communication.
• Preferred Certification: GAI certification is preferred.
• Specialized Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of door hardware, access control systems, and related building codes and standards is advantageous.
