Job Summary:

The Quality Officer (Facility Maintenance) is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures, ensuring that all building maintenance and project activities comply with internal standards, client requirements, and relevant regulatory guidelines. This role involves conducting inspections, audits, documentation reviews, and providing support to site teams in promoting a strong quality culture. We are looking for a candidate who is available to start within short notice.

Job Description:

  • Developing and maintaining the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) system.
  • Monitor all quality-related activities at the project site to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of materials, workmanship, processes, and systems.
  • Review and verify method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality-related documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and corrective/preventive action reports.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and implement improvement plans.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment delivered to site meet quality requirements and are properly documented.
  • Support internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Conduct training site personnel on quality awareness and ensure quality objectives are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all quality-related documents for the project.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities on matters related to quality.
  • Ensure proper handover documentation and final quality inspections are completed before project closeout.
  • Attend project coordination meetings to report on quality performance and raise any potential concerns.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and recommend preventive actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Project Director, or Management.
  • Handle any quality-related tasks to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in quality assurance/quality control, preferably in construction or facility maintenance.
  • Diploma or Degree in Quality Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management systems and quality inspection standards.
  • Required language(s): English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Good knowledge of construction standards, materials, and methods.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Able to identify problems proactively and implement corrective actions effectively.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work with diverse teams and external parties.
  • Willing to travel or be based at project sites when required.
  • Able to work independently and maintain consistency in quality across project phases.
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment to quality excellence.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3, RM4,200.00 per month
