Engineer - Piping

We are seeking intermediate piping engineer to join our team.

As a piping engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of industrial piping systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, project management abilities, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Working together with designers to design and develop piping system layouts and drawings.
• Select appropriate materials and components for piping systems.
• Calculate wall thickness calculation, pipe specification and material datasheet preparation.
• Ensure compliance with international and industry standards and safety regulations.
• Oversee the construction and installation of piping systems.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the design, construction, or operation of piping systems.
• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project completion.
• Manage project schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical support and expertise to other departments as needed.
• Perform pipe stress analysis, pipe support and any related calculation related to piping engineering works.
• Attend site visit and meeting with clients.
• Reviewing in details all the drawings prepared by designers.
• Prepare weekly meeting update and progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least Four (4) years of working experience in material engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of piping design, materials, and construction practices.
• Strong knowledge with pipe specification material and specification valve datasheet.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations, such as ASME, API, and OSHA.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fast learner, proactive and willing to learn.
• Fast adaptability to current working environment and multitasking works

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: RM4, RM7,500.00 per month

Work Location: In person
