Job Description

  • Lead data migration analysis and develop the overall migration strategy and plan.
  • Collaborate closely with data owners, business stakeholders, architects, application teams, and the integration lead to understand requirements and define the data migration approach.
  • Assess development efforts and propose a cost-effective, scalable, and reusable data migration model suitable for regional implementation.
  • Oversee end-to-end data migration delivery across both source and target systems.
  • Clearly articulate problem statements and provide effective solutions and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Provide regular progress updates, highlighting project risks and issues to key stakeholders and project/program managers.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables for the data migration initiative.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 10–12 years of IT experience as a Technical Lead or Data Migration Lead.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Experience in large-scale data migration projects for policy administration systems within the insurance industry.
  • Solid business understanding of Life Insurance, including new business, policy servicing, distribution management, account management, claims management, and customer experience.
  • Strong understanding of systems connected to policy administration platforms and related data dependencies.
  • Experience working in a regional delivery model with the ability to design reusable, scalable, and efficient migration solutions.
  • Ability to plan and strategize data migration go-live activities.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and SQL, with the capability to support Data Engineers in resolving issues and identifying solutions.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: Up to RM15,000.00
  • Location: Kuala Lumpur
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Job Type: Permanent
