Finance and FICA Specialist

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP FICA and GL Consultant to lead and support global implementations across multiple geographies. The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of hands-on SAP FICA and SAP GL implementation experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex end-to-end SAP projects in multinational environments. He / She will play a critical role in solution design, configuration, integration, and deployment within large-scale SAP landscapes

The candidate should also be a subject matter expert in the respective shipping and functional domains who can translate and detail functional specifications for solution implementation and evolutive enhancements post implementation. The incumbent should demonstrate ability to align IT strategies and initiatives with the overall business objectives and needs of the organization. They bridge the gap between technology and business, ensuring that IT investments and solutions are effectively utilized to support the organization's goals.

The candidate will need to have a solid understanding of IT project management, requirement analysis, solution design, resource management, risk management, stakeholder communication, quality assurance, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, meticulous and analytical professional with experience in solution consultancy, project management and through IT solution implementation to join our APAC team.

KEY DUTIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Execute full-cycle SAP FICA and GL implementations globally, from blueprinting through go-live and support.

· Design and configure SAP FICA solutions to meet business requirements, including contract accounting, invoicing, dunning, payments, collections, and integration with FI-CO and other modules.

· Work closely with global business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and manage expectations across multiple time zones and regions.

· Perform comprehensive testing of the configured Finance and FICA modules to ensure accuracy and functionality.

· Ensure global template compliance while adapting for regional/local business and legal requirements.

· Support data migration, interface design, testing, training, cutover, and hypercare phases.

· Act as a subject matter expert on SAP FICA / SAP GL functionality and best practices.

· Provide support and troubleshooting for Finance and O2C related issues.

· Collaborate with technical teams to drive custom developments and resolve issues efficiently.

· Develop and generate financial reports and analyses to support decision-making processes.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, business analysts, and end-users, to address Finance and O2C related issues and provide training.

· Participate in project planning, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities.

· Stay up to date with the latest Finance and O2C business processes, best practices and latest IT enabling Technology

REQUIREMENTS

· 7+ years of experience in SAP FICA with a focus on global implementation projects.

· Proven experience with at least 2 full end-to-end SAP FICA implementations in global/multinational organizations.

· Strong hands-on experience in SAP Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) (including dunning, collections, payments, clearing) and SAP General Ledger (GL)

· Expertise in customizing and configuring FICA and GL master data, events, subledger accounting processes, month end closing accounting process and tax related accounting process.

· Excellent stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills in a cross-cultural environment.

· Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Experience in project management and implementation methodologies

· Certification in SAP Finance or SAP FICA or relevant SAP modules is preferred

Pay: RM12, RM15,000.00 per month
