Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager – Student Activities and Engagement plays a key role in creating a vibrant and inclusive campus environment at MILA University. This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of student development programs, campus events, and co-curricular activities that enrich the overall student experience. The role also oversees the operation of student clubs and societies, nurtures student leadership, and strengthens engagement through community service, global exposure, and social responsibility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Activities and Campus Engagement
a) Plan, coordinate, and implement campus-wide student activities that foster engagement, diversity, and university spirit.
b) Support signature programs under MILA Campus Life, including Orientation Week, Student Awards, Cultural Festivals, and International Week.
c) Collaborate with internal departments, partner institutions, and external organizations to enhance student learning beyond the classroom.
d) Encourage student participation in local and international programs such as study tours, cultural exchanges, and competitions.
Clubs and Societies Management
a) Oversee the registration, governance, and performance of student clubs
• Provide guidance and training to student leaders and faculty advisors on event planning, budgeting, and reporting procedures.
• Ensure all student activities comply with university policies, safety guidelines, 看and financial regulations.Student Leadership and Development
• Coordinate leadership and personal development workshops, retreats, and training sessions for student leaders.
• Mentor and support the Student Representative Council (SRC) in planning and executing student-centered initiatives.
• Promote active student participation in volunteerism, community service, and University Social Responsibility (USR) projects.Communication and Promotion
• Manage communication related to student activities through MILA Campus Life social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) and internal announcements.
• Highlight student achievements and success stories to strengthen campus identity and student pride.
• Develop creative promotional materials and campaigns that engage and inspire the student body.Administration and Reporting
• Prepare reports, proposals, and evaluations for student engagement programs and events.
• Assist in annual planning, budgeting, and documentation of student affairs initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student participation, club activities, and impact assessments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in education, Communications, Management, Art or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in student affairs, youth engagement, or event management.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in social media content creation and digital engagement strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Passionate about youth development, leadership education, and community engagement.
• Proficiency in English, Malay, and Chinese (both written and spoken) is required.

• Professional, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to support campus activities and events.
