Position Summary

We are hiring experienced Korean-English medical interpreters for a full-time, remote role. This position is ideal for professionals with at least two years of medical interpreting experience who are committed to delivering accurate and culturally competent communication in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret medical conversations accurately and impartially via phone or video (OPI/VRI)
  • Facilitate clear communication between Korean-speaking patients and English-speaking medical professionals
  • Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and interpreter ethics
  • Take clear and organized notes to support interpretation accuracy
  • Collaborate with supervisors and participate in quality assurance activities
  • Adhere to medical and industry-specific terminology

Qualifications

  • Native fluency in Korean and C1 or higher English proficiency
  • Minimum of two (2) years of medical interpretation experience (OPI/VRI preferred)
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and interpreter protocols
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a language and terminology assessment
  • Background check required

Technical Requirements

  • Wired Ethernet internet connection (Wi-Fi is not permitted)
  • USB wired, noise-cancelling headset
  • A desktop or laptop with:
  • Windows 10+ or MacOS 10.13+
  • Minimum Intel i3 processor (i5 or i7 preferred)
  • Minimum 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
  • Technical check with our IT team required before onboarding
