Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Korean-English medical interpreters for a full-time remote position. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong command of medical terminology and a minimum of two years of relevant interpreting experience, preferably in over-the-phone (OPI) or video remote interpreting (VRI).

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate real-time interpretation during medical encounters via OPI/VRI platforms
• Ensure clarity and accuracy when conveying medical information between Korean-speaking patients and English-speaking healthcare providers
• Uphold confidentiality and professional ethics at all times
• Maintain attention to detail, take effective notes, and manage call flow with professionalism
• Participate in quality assurance feedback and professional development as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Native fluency in Korean and advanced (C1+) proficiency in English
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in medical interpreting
• Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and interpreter standards
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a language and terminology proficiency assessment
• Must successfully complete a background check

Remote Work & Technical Requirements

To perform this role remotely, candidates must meet the following conditions:

• Wired Ethernet internet connection (Wi-Fi is not accepted)
• USB wired, noise-cancelling headset
• A desktop or laptop with the following specs:
• Operating system: Windows 10+ or MacOS 10.13+
• Processor: Intel i3 or higher (i5/i7 preferred)
• RAM: Minimum 4 GB (8 GB preferred)
• Candidates will undergo a technical verification with our IT team prior to onboarding
