About the role

RENOVATIONS EXPERT MALAYSIA is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy, cost-efficiency and profitability. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  2. Analysing project drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify cost-saving opportunities
  3. Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts to secure the best value
  4. Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
  5. Providing regular cost reports and financial updates to project managers and senior leadership
  6. Collaborating with the project team to resolve any cost-related issues that arise
  7. Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  2. Minimum 1 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
  3. Strong understanding of construction cost estimation, budgeting and cost control methods
  4. Proficient in using quantity surveying software
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors and the project team
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  7. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve cost-related issues
