Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full sets of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and month and year-end financial closing.
  • Oversee and supervise daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Review and analyse accounting transactions to produce accurate financial statements, management reporting, and statutory submissions.
  • Monitor receivables, perform ageing analysis, and manage credit control processes to support cash flow and reduce credit risk.
  • Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to maintain proper inventory control, including stocktake participation and inventory adjustment review.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations such as bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations, and prepare audit schedules for review.
  • Handle tax-related functions including SST reporting, tax estimates, and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Execute treasury tasks, including maintaining bank accounts, overseeing payment processes, and user access administration.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations in Malaysia.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities to support audit and tax filing obligations.
  • Lead or support initiatives that improve financial processes, accounting systems, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance finance workflows and strengthen financial governance.
  • Participate in finance system implementations and assist with process transition to support business growth.
  • Perform additional finance duties and assignments as required by Management.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience managing full sets of accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Experience within a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
  • Effective communication skills, and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
