Job Title: Solution Architect

Experience: 10–12+ Years

Educational & Professional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred Certifications: TOGAF, Zachman, or other Solution/Enterprise Architecture standards.
• 10+ years of total experience, with strong enterprise/solution architecture background.
• Finance & Accounting process knowledge (AP/AR/R2R) is an added advantage.
• Experience in operations, digital transformation, and IT operations.
• Proven experience working as a Solution Architect in a client-facing role.

Role Purpose

Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and solution lead for the assigned domain. Engage internal stakeholders, understand their requirements, manage demand, and deliver well-assessed, cost-effective technical solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the SPOC for solutioning engagements with internal stakeholders.
• Understand business needs and translate them into feasible solutions.
• Present and discuss technical solutions with business, IT teams, and executive decision-makers.
• Develop detailed solution designs, technical architectures, and cost estimates.

2. Technology Assessment & Architecture

• Analyze existing business capabilities, applications, and technology landscapes.
• Identify gaps, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate emerging technology and industry trends to determine enterprise impact.
• Function as Workstream Design Lead for Operations & Transformation initiatives.

3. Project Contribution & Delivery

• Oversee solution architecture for implementation projects.
• Lead/participate in the creation of new technology assets and frameworks.
• Facilitate evaluation, selection, and implementation of business applications.
• Prepare solution architecture documentation, analysis reports, and costing.

4. Vendor Engagement

• Participate in RFP, vendor evaluation, and selection activities.
• Engage directly with vendors on solutioning and project matters.

5. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

• Work closely with Business Architects, Infrastructure teams, Application Management, Service Management, IT Security, and project teams.
• Ensure architectural alignment between business strategy and IT strategy.

6. People & Leadership Responsibilities

• Guide the solution team in assessing and recommending optimal solutions.
• Build collaborative relationships with business leaders and SMEs.
• Maintain an unbiased, vendor-neutral approach to solution evaluation.
• Influence long-term architectural decisions balancing cost and value.

Required Technical & Functional Skills

• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present at executive level.
• Strong planning, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to estimate financial/operational impact of solution alternatives.
• Strong grasp of:
• Server technologies, Storage, Network, OS platforms
• Application servers, Databases
• Modern and legacy programming environments, SDKs, frameworks, testing tools
• Ability to quickly understand functions of new technologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM16, RM17,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Server technologies, Storage, Network, OS platforms: 2 years (Preferred)
• Application servers, Databases: 2 years (Preferred)
• TOGAF, Zachman: 2 years (Preferred)
• enterprise/solution architecture: 2 years (Required)
