About the role

Medicasa Care Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Pulai Mutiara Johor. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our General Practitioners in providing exceptional patient care. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits.

What you'll be doing

· Prepare consultation and treatment rooms before each session.

· Welcome and prepare patients for examination.

· Record patient's vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, height, etc.).

· Assist the doctor during medical examinations and minor procedures.

· Administer injections, dress wounds, and dispense medication as directed by the doctor.

· Perform basic medical tests such as urine test, glucose test, pregnancy test, etc.

· Collect, label, and send specimens for laboratory testing.

· Ensure all medical instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored.

· Maintain inventory of medical supplies and report low stock promptly.

· Monitor infection control and waste disposal in compliance with clinic standards.

· Register and update patient records accurately.

· Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently.

· Prepare daily patient logs, reports, and documentation.

· Handle patient billing, payments, and receipts.

· Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

· Assist with insurance or medical claim documents if applicable.

· Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the clinic area at all times.

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and safety protocols.

· Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement programs.

· Report any malfunction of equipment or clinic facilities.

· Carry out any other duties assigned by the doctor.

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, doctors, and other healthcare team members
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and performing basic lab tests
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, equipment, and documentation
  • A genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
