Job Summary

The role is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end delivery of the
KEY Fiber Project
, including rollout, testing, and service activation. This position oversees project teams, vendors, partners, and relevant authorities to ensure successful execution within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget. The incumbent will ensure strict adherence to company policies, governance frameworks, and processes while managing project reporting, budgeting, and stakeholder communications. Additionally, the role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and issues to achieve seamless project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project team, vendors/ partners, and relevant authorities for the end-to-end rollout, testing, and service activation of the KEY fiber project.
• Ensure project delivery adheres strictly to the agreed timeline, aligns with overall project objectives, and meets design, quality, and budget requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, project governance frameworks, processes, guidelines, and standards.
• Oversee and manage project updates for related forums, scheduled meetings, and all communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage budgeting activities, including PR, PO, and GR processes.
• Provide cross-functional support to ensure effective collaboration with other teams and departments.
• Drive and lead improvement initiatives covering rollout execution, processes, contracts, and ways of working.
• Proactively identify risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation, management, monitoring, and resolution.

Requirements

• This position is offered as a
  2-year fixed-term contract.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
• PMP certification.
• Fiber rollout–related certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in fiber rollout.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager in the telecommunications industry, handling fiber rollout projects with a capex exceeding RM100 million.
• Proven experience managing network programs, particularly in transport fiber rollout.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, team, and project management abilities.
• Highly skilled in leadership, coaching, negotiation, and influencing.
• Demonstrated experience managing internal and external stakeholders, including authorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong sense of confidentiality, honesty, reliability, and discretion.
• Able to perform effectively under tight timelines and pressure.
