Duties and Responsibilities:

Operation

  1. In the absence of the Assistant Manager carry out the daily operation of the Restaurant ensuring effective communication of all required standards and procedures to all employees.
  2. In conjunction with the Assistant Manager constantly monitor the quality and presentation of all food items, liaising with Executive/Sous Chef to ensure the same.
  3. In accordance with the Restaurant procedures, ensure guests are given prompt, attentive and unobtrusive service at all times.
  4. Perform related service duties as required throughout service periods.
  5. Whenever appropriate and opportune, in accordance with procedures, ensure that upselling of food and beverage items is undertaken, giving guests the opportunity of partaking of all food and beverage options open to them and maximizing profitability of outlets.
  6. Ensure all procedures in regards to wastage and transfers are carried out.
  7. Undertake to deal with any guests complaint in a professional, helpful and friendly manner at all times and immediately advise Assistant Manager of the situation (contact the Operation Manager, Division Head in the Assistant Manager's absence).
  8. Any other duties as requested by the Assistant Manager due to business demands.
  9. Monitor weekly roster for all restaurant staff, ensuring that adequate manning levels are in line with the terms of Company.
  10. Inform the Assistant Manager of any queries posted by guests so that an answer can be given (related to Supervisor line of responsibility only).
  11. Liaise with guests regarding any complaints, take action as necessary, and report to Assistant Manager verbally and in writing. In writing can be done by email or through a log book
  12. Oversee the supervision of all staff in all Restaurant areas and ensure that Company policies and procedures are followed at all times, and that Company standards are being upheld. Report any concerns first to the Assistant Manager.
  13. At the end of each shift complete all necessary daily reports.
  14. Work in any area requiring additional staffing.

Stock Control

  1. Conduct all stock takes and equipment inventory with Assistant Manager as required.
  2. Produce monthly stock report

Administration & Management

  1. Monitor weekly roster for all restaurant staff, ensuring that adequate manning levels are in line with the terms of Company.
  2. Direct staff to various areas within the department to meet service needs.
  3. Keep labor cost down to the overall target of 20% for the day.
  4. Attend any training or meetings as and when required by Company

Training/Briefing/Communication

  1. Conduct daily briefing when necessary
  2. Liaise with Executive Chef or Sous Chef to ensure effective cooperation and communication between front & back of house operations.
  3. To take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment

Workplace Health & Safety Policy

  1. Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  2. Hold a Food safety supervisors certificate, Check all areas of the Restaurant to ensure we are compliant with Food Safety and sanitation of the workplace
  3. To take responsibility for and ensure security of Restaurant.
  4. At all times promote and follow legal responsibilities and requirements associated with the responsible service of alcohol.
  5. Be aware of obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act, and maintain a safe workplace.
  6. Report hazards to the Workplace Health and Safety Committee. In the event of any accident complete an Accident Report Form and forward Assistant Manager.

Experience min 4 years in F&B full dining service and min 1 year in the position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
