About Us:

Port Klang Port Reception Facility Sdn Bhd (PKPRF) is an emerging oil processing and mini-refinery plant specialising in marine waste reception, deslopping, and waste oil treatment for sustainable environmental management.

As we prepare for full operations in Q42025, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Plant Manager to lead plant operations, ensure production excellence, and drive team performance in line with safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Plant Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of the port reception facility. This includes ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant handling, processing, and disposal of waste materials received from vessels. The role will coordinate with port authorities, ship operators, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all activities comply with environmental regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational management:

• Lead daily plant operations covering oil processing, waste oil treatment, and mini-refinery output.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of key processing equipment, including decanters, evaporators, centrifuges, filtration units, heat exchangers and pumps.
• Coordinate unloading feedstocks to the tank farm.
• Coordinate loading products from the tank farm to tankers.
• Monitor plant performance and implement process improvements for the waste treatment plant.
• Capable of planning and scheduling processing time based on feedstock arrival and production requirements.
• Able to plan process operations according to feedstock availability.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and installation.
• Demonstrates the ability to diagnose and fix minor equipment malfunctions promptly, ensuring uninterrupted production flow.
• Responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of HV and LV protection systems.
• Performing electrical maintenance for electrical transformer, switchboard and switchgear.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

Staff Management:

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of facility operators, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage staff schedules.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with DOE, DOSH, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections and address any non-compliance issues promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management, Industrial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years in industrial or waste management operations. Proven leadership in high-compliance environments.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and waste management practices.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for operational management

• This position may require working in outdoor environments and exposure to various weather conditions.
