Join Our Team: Production Chemist (Polymer Science – Latex Industry)

Sanctuary Health
is seeking a talented and dedicated Production Chemist to join our team. If you have expertise in polymer science, especially within the latex industry, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize latex formulations to meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and control chemical processes during production to ensure consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products for quality assurance.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues by identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D Team and quality assurance teams to improve process efficiency and product quality.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of formulations, test results, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in handling and disposal of chemicals.
  • Participate in research and development projects on latex and elastomeric materials to enhance product performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Stay informed about new raw materials, technologies, and regulatory requirements affecting latex products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in latex or polymer-related research and formulation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a latex or polymer manufacturing environment.
  • Prior work in medical device or dental product industry is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of natural and synthetic latex properties and formulation techniques.
  • Experience with analytical instruments (FTIR, viscometers, tensile testers, elongation, pH, total solids, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and analytical tools (e.g., viscometers, spectrophotometers).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
