About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Management to join our team at J&T EXPRESS (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. in Shah Alam, Selangor. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of our logistics fleet to support our growing operations. As the Fleet Operations Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our transportation services and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation & Demand Dispatch

  • Coordinate and communicate daily transportation and operational demand information.
  • Allocate vehicle resources according to operational plans to ensure smooth execution.
  • Monitor dispatch performance and address exceptions promptly to maintain operational efficiency.

2. Fleet & Customer Communication

  • Act as the key liaison between the fleet and customers, coordinating daily operations and resolving issues.
  • Provide real-time updates to ensure smooth collaboration and accurate information flow.
  • Handle inquiries, changes in customer requirements, and urgent operational situations.

3. Vehicle Operations Management

  • Maintain and update vehicle records, docking schedules, and driver information.
  • Monitor daily vehicle operations and report or coordinate resolution of vehicle issues, accidents, or other exceptions.
  • Ensure vehicle resources meet operational requirements and comply with company standards.

4. Exception Handling & Claims Follow-Up

  • Track delays, exceptions, or transport incidents; investigate causes and assist in handling claims.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement improvements and reduce operational risks.

5. Data Reporting & Record Management

  • Prepare and maintain daily reports, including settlement ledgers, exception statistics, and fleet utilization reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports to support management decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
  • Previous experience in logistics dispatch, transportation management, or related roles is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills for effective multi-party interaction.
  • Basic data analysis skills; familiarity with Excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables is preferred.
  • Highly responsible, able to work under pressure, and handle urgent operational situations.
  • Familiarity with logistics and transportation processes is a plus.
