Job Title: Fresh Supervisor

Department: Fresh Department

Reports To: Branch Manager

Employment Type: Full-time / Shift-based

Job Summary:

The Meat & Seafood Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of the meat and seafood section in the supermarket. This includes ensuring the highest standards of product freshness, food safety, cleanliness, staff supervision, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the meat and seafood section.
  • Supervise and train team members in proper cutting, handling, packaging, and display techniques.
  • Ensure all products are fresh, correctly labeled, and comply with hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and receive deliveries – ensuring proper storage and rotation (FIFO).
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, spoilage, and wastage.
  • Ensure equipment (cutting tools, scales, chillers, freezers) is used correctly and maintained in good working condition.
  • Handle customer requests and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Implement promotional displays and seasonal product arrangements.
  • Ensure all staff follow SOPs for hygiene, safety, and cleanliness of the section.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in meat and/or seafood retail operations (supermarket, butcher, wet market, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of meat and seafood types, quality standards, and safe handling procedures.
  • Good leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to handle chilled or frozen environments.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3, RM4,050.00 per month
