Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wangsa Maju for a Designer - Instrumentation & Control. The responsibilities include crafting detailed designs for instrumentation and control systems, preparing engineering documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The Designer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver optimized design solutions. Day-to-day tasks also include performing technical analyses, supporting construction teams during implementation, and assisting in system testing and commissioning.

Job Scope

  • Able to perform site visit and prepare site visit checklist.
  • Responsible to verify scope as per ITB
  • To provide draft , sketch and detail design
  • To assist engineer in issue of technical drawing
  • Responsible to check on drawing to make sure that the drawing follow as per client standard.
  • Able to liaise with client regarding to any issue of instrument control
  • Possess in high stress work environment and able to work in a team.
  • Able to complete task within the time given.
  • Able to operate AutoCAD, Sketch up (Additional) Microsoft Software

Qualifications

  • Candidate must posses at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in drafting, design, or a related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in Instrumentation Design/Drafting.
  • Senior drafters also are encouraged to apply.
  • Detail-Oriented - Paying close attention to detail, so the design plans being built are technically accurate to the specifications outlined
  • Technical Skills - Must have the ability to use computer software and work with database tools.
  • Math Skills - These are important as he/she works with technical drawings that would require mathematical calculations that involve angels and weights, not to mention costs.
  • Critical-Thinking Skills - Helps the engineering team they work with by identifying problems with design and plans.
  • Time-Management Skills - Works under strict deadlines, but would still be able to produce the required output in accordance to set schedules.
  • Advanced Computer Skills - Microsoft Office, and Autocad 2019, Navisworks Freedom engineering and design software, familiarity with Plant 3D and Cadworkx 3D software is a plus.
  • Familiar with E3D Software.
