About the role

Zalam Corporation Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company based in Kapar, Selangor, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and analysing detailed project cost estimates and bills of quantities.
• Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and conditions
• Preparing and submitting regular progress reports, highlighting any potential issues or risks
• Liaising with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants and architect to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Providing technical and commercial advice to the project team, contributing to the overall success of the project
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices
• Other ad-hoc assignment by Site Manager / Contract Manager

What we're looking for

• A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Site Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of quantity surveying software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• A thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles
• Familiarity with relevant construction regulations, standards, and industry best practices
