Job Summary

As an Asset and Configuration Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting overall Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset management (SAM) aspects of the service within the IT Service Management Team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily and long-term hardware and software asset management activities, ensuring strategic alignment with business and IT goals.
  • Plan, monitor, and track assets to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and accuracy within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Oversee the end-to-end asset lifecycle, from procurement and deployment to retirement, ensuring data integrity and contract adherence.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes and governance frameworks for IT Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Produce and analyze KPI reports, compliance metrics, and audit findings, providing insights and recommendations for management.
  • Supervise and guide a team of procurement and asset management analysts, ensuring consistent execution of best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with IT Infrastructure, Applications, and Finance teams to support cross-functional initiatives and maintain data accuracy.
  • Support license compliance audits, ensuring alignment with ITSM, governance, and regulatory standards.

Qualification

  • A minimum of 4 years experiences with a strong background in ITIL asset and configuration processes.
  • Five years or more ITSM tool experience in ServiceNow.
  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware as well as five or more years' experience working as an IT asset & configuration analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience in hardware & software Discovery.
  • Strong knowledge and five years plus experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports.
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully.
  • Profound knowledge of licensing agreements involving software, including Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle
  • Able to communicate effectively with business users and service line.
  • Ability to analyse problems and propose solutioning options.
  • Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision.
