About the Role

This full-time Consultant (Corporate & Business Strategy) position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic vision and growth of Majlis Rekabentuk Malaysia (MRM), SIRIM Berhad — a think tank, advisory, and coordinating body in industrial design, product development, and design excellence, based in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

You will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic initiatives that enhance MRM's competitiveness, operational efficiency, and capacity for innovation.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct research, analysis, and evaluation of business and industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of corporate and business strategies in line with MRM's vision and mission.
  • Identify new business opportunities and formulate strategies to diversify and expand MRM's market presence.
  • Prepare strategic reports, proposals, and business papers for management review and decision-making.
  • Support performance tracking, corporate planning, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective execution of strategic plans and projects.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 9 years of experience in business strategy, corporate planning, or management consulting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic or business plans.
  • Proficiency in using strategic planning tools such as SWOT analysis, Porter's Five Forces, and Balanced Scorecard.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, business development, or policy analysis is an advantage.
