About the role

Mewah Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Executive to join its Accounting team in Pulau Indah, Selangor, Malaysia. As an Executive, Account, you will be responsible for providing financial accounting and reporting services to support the overall financial health and performance of the organisation. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, providing supporting documentation as needed
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial transactions and account status
  • Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial controls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial data and analysis as required
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the manufacturing or FMCG industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve accounting issues
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with Malaysian financial reporting standards and regulations
