Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team for our entities in Malaysia and Singapore, based in Johor. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring statutory compliance, providing strategic financial analysis to management, and managing the local finance team. The successful candidate must possess strong regional knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to driving financial performance and integrity across both jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting (Regional Focus)

  • Oversee and manage the complete financial close process for both the Malaysia (MY) and Singapore (SG) entities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure full compliance with MFRS/FRS (Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards) and SFRS (Singapore Financial Reporting Standards), and all relevant statutory requirements, including Corporate Tax and GST/SST.
  • Manage regional cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions, including inter-company transactions and currency risk management.
  • Prepare and present insightful financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reports to senior management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries in both countries.

Team Leadership & Operational Oversight

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Johor-based finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processing for the entities in both regional.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Drive efficiency in financial processes by leveraging the Accounting system.

Strategic & Commercial Support

  • Provide commercial and financial advisory support to department heads and leadership in both Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Assist in due diligence for new business initiatives, capital expenditure proposals, and contract reviews.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualification: CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Regional Knowledge: Proven experience managing the financial functions of both Malaysian and Singaporean entities is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Accounting Software and Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Language: Excellent command of English and Mandarin is required as to liaise with English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).
  • Preferred candidates with short notice period.
